Mathias is a Principal Associate and a member of our global transaction group. He specialises in finance law, with a particular focus on international banking transactions, structured finance, restructuring and insolvency as well as investment funds law.
Since joining the firm in 2012, he has worked across many industries with a particular focus on financial institutions, asset finance and the real estate sector. Trained in both Austrian and English law, Mathias is frequently consulted in connection with cross-border transactions. During his time at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, he was on a three month client-secondment with Raiffeisen Bank International AG and spent three weeks on a mini-secondment at the Freshfields office in Paris, France.
Mathias has published several essays and articles and regularly presents on banking and finance matters both internally and externally.
He speaks English, German and French.
